The following reply was made to PR pkg/32576; it has been noted by GNATS.

I'm still having this problem, but I have some additional information:

I can't seem to build x11/xorg-server, no matter what I do. I tried -current
with no preinstalled packages, a pkg_comp sandbox using -current, a pkg_comp
sandbox faking 3.0 using libkver, and a fresh clean 3.0 install. They all fail
in exactly the same way, yet Krister's bulk builds seem to work fine!

IMHO, this leaves out 3 options:

 1) My distfiles are broken, even though the checksum seems to think otherwise,
    and a re-fetch didn't make any difference ( I didn't really think it
    would..)

 2) My hardware is broken. While I won't dismiss this option (it's a new
system), it only failed on xorg-server 6.9; kde 3.5.1 built on top of
the old 6.8.0 xorg packages shoehorned in works just great.

 3) Krister's 3.0 isn't really 3.0
 4) There's a missing dependency, which the bulk builds "accidentally" solve.

Suggestions would be most welcome, as I don't want to revert to XFree86
 (due to missing PCI-E support).
