 This bug is semi-blocked by pkg/32128 - the patch for this bug can expose
 the pkg_add behavior described in 32128 which would not now be exposed
 by a make bin-install.
 
 There is a workaround: for my purposes setting PKG_SUFX=
 (empty) on the command line solves the problem and pkg_add
 does not seem impaired by the lack of explicit suffix.
