 The Solaris /bin/sh doesn't like two adjacent open parentheses. Removed
 them completely, as they had been unnecessary. As ${MKDIR} already
 includes the -p option, the ${TEST} is not necessary and has been
 dropped, too. Fixes PR 32002.
