On MacOS X 10.3.9 or 10.4.2:

>Fix:
I don't know why it's trying to find an i386/i686 compiler on a PowerPC
system. Otherwise these messages seem harmless.
On MacOS X, the prototypes for 'malloc' are in <stdlib.h>. <malloc.h>
does not exist.
Workaround:
bmake clean clean-depends
bmake patch
cp work/xv-3.10a/xv.h work/xv-3.10a/xv.h.orig2
Apply the following patch to xv.h.orig2 resulting in new xv.h:
