 icewm builds and runs now (pkgsrc HEAD, I haven't tried pkgsrc-2005Q3), 
 but on my IPX with greyscale screen displays little but the icon manager 
 - no xterm, no title bar or other window elements, no icewm dialogs.
 
 ~/.xsession-errors has a stream of

 Setting
 
 CONFIGURE_ARGS+=        --enable-lite
 
 and commenting out
 
 #CONFIGURE_ARGS+=       --enable-gradients
 #CONFIGURE_ARGS+=       --enable-antialiasing
 
 added the beastie on the menu button and stops the above warning, but 
 does not help with the missing clients.
 
 Note that icewm used to run just fine on greyscale screens - I use it at 
 home with NetBSD/mac68k.
