Even stranger:
-- "configure"ing the unpatched tarball on netbsd-3 works. The compile then
fails half-way through, apparently because of some missing #include.
-- "configure"ing the unpatched tarball on netbsd-2 fails in the same place
as the package on netbsd-3.
