>Description:
kdm fails to find the X server on an out-of-the-box installation of NetBSD and KDE.
in ${PREFIX}/etc/kdm/kdmrc, ServerCmd is set to /usr/pkg/bin/X, whereas on NetBSD, unless X is installed from pkgsrc, X is located at /usr/X11R6/bin/X.
>How-To-Repeat:
Install NetBSD
[Do not install X from pkgsrc]
Install KDE
Run kdm
Watch it complain that /usr/pkg/bin/X isn't found.
>Fix:
Obviously the default could be patched to /usr/X11R6/bin/X, but this may not help people who build X from pkgsrc. Perhaps a package option (defaulting on NetBSD to what works with NetBSD out of the box) would be a sensible solution.
