 Thanks for the patches, I (finally) took a look at them.
 One change:
 Moving the CONFIGURE_ARGS+=--disable-x11 to libcaca/Makefile
 is better than having it in Makefile.common and removing
 it again in libcaca-x11/Makefile.
 
 What is the plan on how to use this package in pkgsrc? Currently
 one can only have libcaca installed, since a package has to include
 one or the other's buildlink3.mk file and thus it's not even the
 user's choice which to use (except if we make it an option in every
 package).  That doesn't look like the best possible way to me.
 
 I think aalib has the same problem.
 
 Suggestions?
