pkgsrc-bugs is primarily used for the postings of pkgsrc bugs from the
GNATS system. I have set the reply-to to tech-pkg list for continued
discussion.

Tell us more about your problem.

You mention "for some time now" but the recent bulk build reports for
NetBSD 1.6.2/i386 and NetBSD 2.0_STABLE/powerpc and NetBSD 3.0_BETA/x86_64
and IRIX 6.5/mipseb and Linux 2.4.20/i386 (as found via the pkgsrc-bulk
mailing list) don't seem to indicate any gtk2 build failures. And I don't
notice the problem myself.

The error message
    Syntax error: expecting "in"
is from sh in the "case" statement.

Please tell us more about your platform.

Maybe look in work/.wrapper/bin/* to find some "case" statement that is
missing the corresponding "in" or someother format problem.
