 1) Your mail showed up as an HTML attachment, so I am including the
message in my response. If you can, please send mail as text instead
 of HTML.

 2) Did you try "tkirc2 >outfile 2>&1" ??? If that helps then please
send the resulting error message file.

 3) Is the error message in an X dialogue? If that is the case then
XFree86 includes a tool for taking snapshots of windows, and I would be
happy to walk you through that.

The bottom line is that without an error message, I don't have much to
go on. The tkirc2 program is working perfectly for me.

From your message, It sounds suspiciously like you are trying to run
tkirc as root instead of as a user. Is that the case? If you are
unsure, type "id" instead of "tkirc2" and send the output.

 Thank you!
