 Unfortunately, I have no idea about how to fix this.  Plus it seems to
 be an issue in samba itself.
 
 FWIW, a while ago we had similar problems with Psi and Kopete, both of
 which used some functionality (I think it was the resolver in libc) not
 "available" in threading mode.  This had to be fixed in our libc.  I'm
 not sure if this has any relation to this precise problem, but it looks
 like it.
