  When I enable kdm, by putting "kdm=yes" in /etc/rc.conf, my keyboard locks
  up. This started after I switched to running kde 3.4. My installation is 
  up-to date, both kernel and sources from earlier today. All packages
  are up-to-date. I am using XFree-4.5.0, built using a crossover build.

  The odd thing is that this *only* happens at boot time. If I boot with
  kdm=no, login, path it, and run kdm using /etc/rc.d/kdm start, it works
  ok. If enabled at boot time, X completely locks up my keyboard, and the
  only way to get things working again is by logging in remotely and 
  killing the X server. After that, it works great. Restarting kdm-greet will
  not do. XFree86.*.log doesn't show any differences. xdm doesn't suffer from
  this problem.
