I'm sorry we don't get around to many PRs on a timely fashion.
We're working on improving that though.

If you want to get a patch applied to NetBSD itself, you are usually
asked to send it against HEAD, not against any of the release
branches. So I guess that jlam expected you would send a patch
against the HEAD. Additionally, if you would take a look at the
CVS logs for mk/install/install, you'd see that quite major changes
have been committed in January and February, so major that I didn't
find a single line of context for most parts (i.e. all but the
trivial part I committed) of the updated patch you supplied. These
are _not_ simple merge conflicts.
Are you willing to supply an updated patch that applies against
-current pkgsrc sources? Though at this point probably the 2005q1
branch is ok too, since it has just been cut and no big changes
have been committed to mk/ yet.
