That's a pretty lame excuse for such a simple change.  Can't you read
diffs and figure out how to manually apply these few changes?

Even if you cannot, don't you see that the diff is against a known
revision and thus can't you apply to the patch to that revision and then
move it forward with your own changes?  I.e. can't you figure out how to
fix your own merge conflicts instead of asking me to do your work for
you?
