Hi,
I build the package successful on a powerpc-linux machine from the
supplied pkgsrc directory. The install was also successful.
uname -a
Linux ole 2.4.25-ben1 #5 Tue Sep 21 10:47:41 CEST 2004 ppc GNU/Linux
The machine is Debian 3.0 updated to 3.1 outfitted with gcc and gmake
to bootstrap pkgsrc and the rest of tools is installed via pkgsrc.
Since there is a new version 1.0.5 perhaps we could import the package
and update it then (or the other way round). If it is wanted I can
build the newer one.
Why should that package be used?
daemontools can not be configured natively to have dependencies. To
define something like that you need the svwaitup and svwaitdown
binaries out of this package.
The runit tools do quite a lot more but if you are into daemontools you
will probably want them for sure.
Thanks,
Marc
