 Thanks for the quick response.  Here Is the output:
 
 [alm@localhost pkgsrc]$ which id
 /bin/id
 [alm@localhost pkgsrc]$ type id
 id is /bin/id
 
 Should I symlink /bin/id to /usr/bin/id or is there
 a more universal solution for "most" systems?
