Everything that has GNU Automake generated Makefiles _should_ use GNU
Make as there is an ever growing amount of GNU Make feature use in
automake-created makefils; and there's no excuse not to within pkgsrc
where doing so is this trivial.

It's not -- that's just how I configure a package to build dynamically
in any of my otherwise mostly static environments.
