audix/sox compiles without PLAY_SUPPORT on IRIX 5 (and probably on IRIX 6 as well, as likely on anything that is nether a Sun, nor has either OSS or ALSA; but please check that.) As a result, some files are not created:

pkg_create: can't stat `/usr/local/pkg/bin/play'
pkg_create: can't stat `/usr/local/pkg/bin/rec'
pkg_create: can't stat `/usr/local/pkg/man/man1/play.1'
pkg_create: can't stat `/usr/local/pkg/man/man1/rec.1'
