I'm sending an update for the ``ratpoison'' package, as per the instructions in
the pkgsrc guide.  I believe ratpoison should be updated to 1.3.0 (from 1.2.2
currently in pkgsrc) for several reasons.  Firstly, a great number of new
features have been implemented, including:

- a new script for generating multiple workspaces (``rpws'')
- tab completion on window names, group names, and colon commands
- new commands for the manipulation of window groups
- keymaps

Secondly and more importantly, the current version in pkgsrc (1.2.2) is well
over a year old.  The latest stable release, contained herein (1.3.0) is more
mature.  For example it does not exhibit the annoying behaviour of 1.2.2 of
occasionally crashing all open applications when switching between windows (or
what I like to call, "Window Manager Russian Roulette").

There is an important piece of information regarding the building of the
package.  Normally the configure process of the original source fails because it
cannot find the "history" library of ``readline'', even if the latter is
installed on the system.  I don't know why this is happening, but as a temporary
workaround, the Makefile sets the ``--disable-history'' argument to
``configure'' by default to work around this.
