I've checked the code and configure checks whether share/man exists and
prefers that over a top-level man directory.  He may be seeing this problem
because he probably has another package that installs manual pages under
share/man (there are multiple in pkgsrc-wip that do this, as well as some
other in pkgsrc that must be fixed, sigh), so ncftp incorrectly assumes
that they should go there.

So... if you (recht@) are not fixing it, I will ;-)
