Whoever packaged the original tar file did something strange. The files
in the subdirectory are not needed and they are not even in the cvs. As
far as I can see, they get removed if necessary and replaced by symlinks
during configure and build. So your post-extract target should not be
necessary (although it won't harm either):
config.status: creating debian/Makefile
config.status: creating config.h
config.status: linking ./gen/src/regex.c to gen/rts/nmrts/regex.c
config.status: linking ./gen/src/regex.h to gen/rts/nmrts/regex.h
config.status: linking ./gen/rts/rts.c to gen/rts/nmrts/rts.c
config.status: linking ./gen/rts/rtsagfl.c to gen/rts/nmrts/rtsagfl.c
config.status: linking ./gen/rts/rtsagfl.h to gen/rts/nmrts/rtsagfl.h
...
The shoddy configure script is going to be replaced in the next version,
and I have commited the patches that represent the genuine 64-bit bugs
to the cvs of agfl. I hope something useful will be done about the rpath
handling, since I don't like it very much the way I made it here (even
though it is better than in a previous incarnation). The dependency on
glib is also going to be removed since it is almost completely
unnecessary.
About Latex, I didn't want to make this package depend on latex.
There is a downloadable copy of the manual available at
http://www.cs.ru.nl/agfl/papers/manual.{ps.gz,pdf}. Maybe that can be
used. It is more recent too.
