>Description:
I noticed that with packages (like devel/ncurses or editors/pico) using
-version-info X:Y with libtool to create shared libraries, actually these
libraries are then created as .so.(X+1).Y. This is pretty sure not what is
intended and in some cases causes conflicts with PLIST. When using
-version-number instead it works. Are the packages simply wrong in using
-version-info and should be using -version-number instead? Or is it a bug in
libtool?
I'm using ibtool-base-1.5.10nb5. Maybe this is an IRIX-specific issue, maybe
not.
