>Description:
chat/irssi build fails with the following error:
network.c:610: error: `EAI_NODATA' undeclared (first use in this function)
network.c:610: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
network.c:610: error: for each function it appears in.)
*** Error code 1
Stop.
bmake: stopped in /usr/pkgsrc/chat/irssi/work/irssi-0.8.9/src/core
It's caused by changes in netdb.h. "RFC 3493 has dropped EAI_NODATA and so has FreeBSD 5.3, too" as Igor S Chencov said.
>How-To-Repeat:
# cd /usr/pkgsrc/chat/irssi
# bmake
>Fix:
Import the patch from FreeBSD ports: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/ports/irc/irssi/files/patch-eai_nodata
Also fixable by putting it in $LOCALPATCHES/$PKGPATH.
