lang/f2c will not build under pkgsrc under Solaris.  There is a clue in 
work/f2c/libI77/makefile.orig:

## Under Solaris (and other systems that do not understand ld -x),
## omit -x in the ld line above.

Since this was eliminated by the patch-ae, I don't know how to kludge it.

I also notice that there is no /usr/share/mk/bsd.lib.mk on my system.  I don't 
know if that is a problem or not...

Try to build f2c from pkgsrc on Solaris.
