x11/xfce contains xfce 3.x whereas meta-pkgs/xfce4 contains the latest xfce.  This is a bit confusing for people who still install things like kde by going to x11/kde and the like.  Perhaps we can get rid of x11/xfce or at least give it a more meaningful name (like x11/xfce3).
