Expat 1.95.7 requires libtool to build, however did not depend it during the 
build.  I had libtool-base installed, but not libtool itself.  After installing 
libtool and performing a make clean && make install && make clean, it worked 
fine.

install libtool-base without libtool, and attempt to compile expat
