I have a GENERIC i386 4-RC3 with the problem since I last messed with it.
One thing I've been meaning to try is put wd0 in the other drive slot,
that's one thing I did when I went to RC2.

I've used a generic config, from the cd or netbsd-4 through this exercise.
another thing to try is optimal vs fail-safe defaults in the bios, don't
remember what I had/have. I looked several times for "SATA emulate PATA"
but never found it.
