netbsd-users: installing modular X.org on top of XFree86?

I would like to install modular X.org on top of 4.0_BETA2, however, I
am currently unable to install 4.0_BETA2 without installing all
thirteen file sets.  Is it possible to simply install modular X.org on
top of the XFree86 already installed,  or do I absolutely positively
need to have a XFree86-less system first before installing modular
X.org?
