Did you check both "/var/log/cron" and "/var/logm/messages"?

No, cron works stable for me on two 24/7 NetBSD-i386 4.0_BETA2 systemsm.

You could try starting "cron" with "cd /dir/withs/lots/of/free/disk/space"
followed by "ktrace -i". That will tell you what cron did before it crashed.

I'm using self-built binaries from the 24th and 29th of July.
