Salut,

Trying to make my ADSL access at home work with a NetBSD router, I
encountered the following problem.

When trying to establish the connection, I keep getting the following
message:

pppoe0: ipcp illegal conf-req in state initial

I have also tried 4.0_BETA2 which shows the same behavior. I'm still
waiting for 3.1.1 builds so I haven't tried that, but judging from the
CVS commits I don't think that the problem would have been fixed.

Additionally, I can't really tell very much about what happens at the
moment this message is being transmitted, because it crashes tcpdump.

Horrified,
aw
