Because NetBSD is not following any "trends"? Because we dont want to
be like Linux?
And why the other BSDs import so much code of/from NetBSD?

I agree NetBSD its not really a deskop-user-friendly distribution, but
exactly the IQ is the problem why NetBSD its not really one of the
most populars out there. Take a look at NetBSD's users base, and take
a look at Ubuntu's users base, thats my point (:
