ZFS is now  on the list of proposed "NetBSD Summer-of-Code Projects
2007":

 	"Sun's ZFS filesystem is available under a non-viral open-source
 	license which is suitable for inclusion in NetBSD as an optional
 	component."

It doesn't need to be completed this year - but SoC would be a great
opportunity to get this started!
