I'm sorry but that didn't help.

I did RTFM and found this excerpt:
 The primary usage of dbus‐uuidgen is to run in the post‐install  script
 of a D‐Bus package like this:
 dbus‐uuidgen ‐‐ensure

I followed the instruction and then I got a message:

 bash-3.2# dbus-uuidgen --ensure
 Could not create file /var/lib/dbus/machine-id: No such file or directory
 bash-3.2#

It seams the MAN is for Linux world not NetBSD.

I can live without Gnutella, I got all files via wget, but I think dbus technique should be working in NetBSD flawlessly once it has been incorporated to the system.

No one got bogged down with this misbehavior so I hurry to add that part of my libs comes from pkgsrc as I compiled mplayer, openmotif, ms-ttf, etc. Perhaps AbiWord is too sensitive to such "explosive mixture"? But that would be beyond my understanding as NetBSD do not provide some binaries due to US law. So the remaining programs should be tested more thoroughly. After all Abiword behavior as I described it is so unprecedented one that I don't dare to think it found its way to repositories without being checked.

I strongly suggest to make the lacking binaries together with other applications and then put them onto unofficial server. Do I demand too much?
