Hi ,
( pls excuse any multiple of this but grey listing is causing
heaps of problems ).

I recently restarted lpd.

Ever since I can't print and the error is :

/dev/lp: No such file or directory

But I have not touched /dev/lp?

Been working for years.

- MAKDEV lp won't work.
- Reboot won't work.
- restart lpd won't work.

here is printcap:
# Mine.
lp:\
 :ml=0:\
 :mx=0:\
 :sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp:\
 :af=/var/spool/lpd/lp/lp.acct:\
 :sh:\
### :rm=134.178.5.106:\
 :rm=134.178.5.159:\
 :rp=lp:\
 :lpd_bounce=true:\
 :if=/usr/local/libexec/lpfilter:

Does anyone know where /dev/lp has gone???

many thanks,
Paul.
