Hi,

I need some gtk1 only apps but there are some problems.
My rig: Celeron 400, 320 MB DRAM, nVidia TNT2, NetBSD-3.1

1. Errors
a) gentoo
both binary and source (after compilation) shows the notorious (see the
google) error of:
bash-3.2$ gentoo
** WARNING **: mntent_wrap.c: Ignoring filename '/etc/fstab'
** WARNING **: mntent_wrap.c: Ignoring filename '/proc/mounts'
** WARNING **: mntent_wrap.c: Ignoring filename '/proc/mounts'

b)gftp-gtk1
gftp-gtk1 shows the same habit (binary and src):
bash-3.2$ gftp-gtk
gftp-gtk: Error detected by libpthread: Unlocking unlocked mutex.
Detected by file
"/home/builds/ab/netbsd-3-1-RELEASE/src/lib/libpthread/pthread_mutex.c",
line 363, function "pthread_mutex_unlock".
See pthread(3) for information.
Abort trap (core dumped)

2. Lack of some sort of apps:
a) Dillo with i18n and/or TAB patches (see Damn Small Linux, and others)
b) Sylpheed-gtk1 (present in OpenBSD)

I'd like to get rid of the mammoth packages from Firefox/Mozilla forge.

c) emelFM (it's better than gentoo)
d) xcdroast (or equivalent _but_ for GTK+ 1.2)

Any help welcome. (I'm not a programmer and otherwise I wouldn't bother
you).

BTW.
The documentation in
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/pkgsrc/current/pkgsrc/README-all.html
is completely botched. For example thunderbird-gtk-1.0.5.9 and
firefox-gtk-1.0.5.9 is not present for i386 port but tgz packet is
listed on ftp site (and what's more important physically present on the
ftp).
