I know this not exactly on-topic, but this reminds of the r300 DRI
driver, supporting ATI cards upto X800 I think - which is probably
more than enough graphics power for most of us, maybe even for the
not-so-occasional gamers.

All the bits and pieces necessary seem to be out there, they "just"
need to find their way into NetBSD.

I don't know what the showstoppers are here and I certainly can't do
much about it myself, but if a bounty is all that's needed to get
things going in /this/ direction I'd be happy to contribute.
