1) I don't understand the triplet here. "ftp.NetBSD.org" is necessary like
http://www.netbsd.org. Otherwise, where will we go?
ftp.debian.org/pub/NetBSD/?

2) Under /$arch, NetBSD-$version is needed so as not to confuse users who
track different releases say 2.x and 3.x branches.

3) /pub/pkgsrc/pkgsrc-2006Q3/pkgsrc/audio/aumix/(...) (src example)
                ^^^^^^^^^^^
I think it is needed since pkgsrc is released on a quarterly basis.

"/pkgsrc/audio/aumix" from the looks of it is an attempt to maintain path
uniformity. If you notice your pkgsrc can be on any mountpoint or
directory you want aside from "/usr" on your local hard disk and its the
same structure "/pkgsrc/audio/aumix/" on NetBSD's site. :)

Cheers!
