I started the petition and want to give some answers on postings from you.=

First, this petition  www.nvidia-petition.tk  has nothing to do with a boun=
ty.=20
Realy nothing.
The petition is a reminder for netbsd and nvidia that there is still no 3D =
acceleration for NetBSD users. FreeBSD and Linux has a working driver since=
 years. The goal of the petition is to ask nvidia for a official driver for=
 their graphic cards. That`s all.=20

It`s more realstic to get a working driver with this petition than asking a=
 mulimillion compamy to opening their specs. Nvidia has the sourcecodes for=
 their FreeBSD driver on their Harddisks, so It won`t be hard to build a wo=
rking driver for NetBSD.=20

We discussed a lot on a german BSD bulletin board and there are a lot FreeB=
SD users that want to try out NetBSD but stay with FreeBSD due the lack of =
3D acceleration. It`s a standart today for every computer and NetBSD offers=
 nothing for this.=20
3D acceleration will attract much more people for NetBSD. Users, Gamers, Pr=
ogrammers etc..=20
With more people on board the possiblity increase that they also give somet=
hing back to NetBSD. For instance porting their favorite software to NetBSD=
. More people would care about NetBSD. That is how it works.=20

The only thing that we have to do now is to wait until the petition has eno=
ugh signer. Then I will send this petition to nvidia.=20

If Nvidia does not care the next step "could" be a bounty. But i repeat it,=
 THIS PETITION HAS NOTHING to do with a bounty. The signers are not forced =
to=20
pay for a bounty.=20

We have to go step by step. The first step is this petition.=20
