Thanks for that pointer, extracting the file and copying it leads to a
requirement of libresmgr. After finding that and making it load, I get the
following: 

 relocation error: /usr/lib/libasound.so: symbol __fprintf_chk, version
 GLIBC_2.3.4 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference
