I am using sqlgrey. 1.7.3 works okay, BUT, it sometimes hangs or quits.
My solution (which sucks badly) is to run it in daemon mode, so I can ask
it to restart every five minutes, which seems to DWIM.

Google up sqlgrey. Works very well, apart from the "sometimes goes away",
which I solved with a cron job. (Every 5 minutes is overkill, but I'd rather
have minimal downtime in the event that the crash is random, not something
that happens only after a certain amount of uptime or load.)
Worth it, too; think "90% reduction in spam".
