60g could be 4th generation or 5th.
Do you know if it was purchased prior to October 2005?

If so 4thgen.
else 5thgen.

certainly not the new release of the 5th gen.
which has no 60gig.

David T. had one of these and was having trouble.
but his might be an isolated case.
or a patch may have come out.
