Has anyone here noticed that mplayer leaves behind processes after it exits?  
I notice it after playing videos with the embedded kmplayer in the konqueror 
browser.

This isn't documented in the mplayer bugzilla and I've found no mention of it 
in the netbsd-user or netbsd-help archives.

Is this a problem with mplayer in general or is it some quirk of my 
installation?

I'm using mplayer-1.0rc8nb1 installed from the pkgsrc binary packages at 
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/packages/packages-2006Q2/NetBSD-3.0/i386/All
