Well, I *dont* have any dmesg outputs. That's what I meant by saying
not getting recognized. I plug the HDD, it powers on, but there's no
messages or anything in NetBSD. If I had some dmesg output, I'd
atleast have something to start investigating with.

Well, I just did that (and had gotten online to write abt that infact
:)). I powered off the machine, waited for sometime, and after
powering on I see that the disk is getting recognized. Even unplugged
and put back, it still works. And I also get the dmesg output like I
used to get earlier (which I pasted in my first mail).

Does this behaviour mean anyhing to you?

The next time I encounter something like this, is there anything u'd
suggest I try doing? Any other commands perhaps?
