Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I issue/d that command after my inital install. But its strange where
I have other NetBSD boxes with an Intel Gigabit NIC as well. It doesn't
generate messages like those. Or Non-Intel adapters even like
3com(txp,ex), Broadcom (bge) or Via(vr) when not connected.

I wonder why.
