Sure, the standard install is a threaded perl these days, so
presumably it works ;-). But in my case I then stumble on the dreaded
/usr/pkg/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.0/i386-netbsd-thread-multi/auto/
APR/Request/Apache2/Apache2.so: Undefined PLT symbol
"apreq_handle_apache2" (symnum = 49)
that I'm unable to get past. Trying for an unthreaded perl is only (a
sofar unsuccessful) attempt at turning one of the knobs I'm aware of
to get rid of the real problem. But as I don't really know what the
error signifies, the unthreaded perl may be a completely irrelevant
side issue.
