Well, not speaking for guspnp, a time depends on how pupular this bug
is, how much maintainers broken part has, reporter's cooperation, and
on the problem complexity. From my own experience, it takes from
several minutes and up to few years. For driver *fixing* it may be done
within a week or less.

IMHO, today there are not so much GUS users (which decreases your
chances), but if driver was *broken* it would be relatively easy to
find the buggy part. Just take a look to recent CVS changes and you may
quickly locate the problem roots. Which kernel with your GUS works
fine? Which became a broken?

But I'm sure you perfectly know these all yourself :-)
