Hello,

I'm not sure if this was asked already, but I'd like to upgrade from
2.0 -> 3.0 via ssh. The machine in question is a few thousand miles
away. In the past, I just downloaded the .tgz files under binary/sets
to / and then just extracted them (everything except etc.tgz). This
worked so far, but there were some significant changes in 3.0 so it
will most likely break my current install if I do it this way.

Is there some sort of script that needs to be run that I'm missing?=20
Like an upgrade script that will let me specify where the install
packages are and the script does the rest?

Any help is much appreciated. Feel free to e-mail me directly, so
this thread doesn't clutter the list.
