Subject: 3.0_BETA panic kills the network

My 3.0_BETA i386 box with i82550 network (fxp0) occasionally panics. When
it does so, the port light on my switch flashes like mad and the whole
network grinds to a halt.

As soon as I type reboot, the network starts working again. Last time it
died, I tried tcpdumping on another machine, but didn't see anything.
This machine's been running 1.6 for years without any downtime.
