What are the project requirements? Database (and OS) performance is not
an abstract phenomenon. NetBSD should work well in many, but not all,
cases. Performance on many database applications is entirely storage
limited (often due to seek time, a major reason for the popularity of
solid state storage). However, it all depends on what you are doing.
