I don't think so:

smartctl -d 3ware,0 /dev/ld0d

smartmontools 5.32 does not currentlly support twe(4) devices (3ware Escalade)
Smartctl: Device Read Identity Failed (not an ATA/ATAPI device)

A mandatory SMART command failed: exiting. To continue, add one or more '-T permissive' options.

The icp(4) driver apparently doesn't support that.
